Return to School
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on August 22nd, 2003, at 9:32am

I’m back at school. It actually starts on Monday, but I got back to town yesterday. I’ve started unpacking and already had one Navigator’s meeting (several more Nav related events/meetings over the next week).

The rest of my time at home went well. I was able to spend a lot of time with Mark and Mark, my family and grandparents, and even Moriah one evening (Mark’s ex-girlfriend).

Got two new CDs from the mail today: Lucerin Blue and New Comers Home.

I blame Tracy’s computer entirely for this post. The ethernet in the dorms is turned off due to computer viruses and worms (and a bit of perhaps justifiable paranoia).

Jake and I came over to Tracy’s apartment, cooked some gyouza, Jake made some mugicha (tea), and we ate it. It wasn’t quality gyouza (it fell apart) but it tasted good. (Mom: “It still tastes fine even if it is in pieces”) Jake had a lot of Japanese anecdotes to share. Now we’re sitting here discussing Seinfeld and Tracy is sewing a pillow.

Dos Dias Más

Two more days here at the house till Matt and I move out. I’ve got a lot of painting left to do and I’m not sure I’ll be done on time. A couple friends are going to help me over the next couple days though. Perhaps with God’s blessing most of it will get done… it will require a lot of hard work.

My friend Mark, the one in the Army, got back home safely on leave. My other friend Mark is home as well. I’m planning to go home circa Wednesday or Thursday in order to spend time with them and my family. I may also see some friends in Colorado Springs.

Job Hunting
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on May 12th, 2003, at 2:57am

I’m out job hunting and enjoying less then every minute of it. * sigh * So many stores, so little available positions, and me so clumsy with my pen when filling out applications. “Drat! I filled in the wrong thing again! * scribble scribble *” * sigh * There’s maybe one or two opportunities that could work out, so I’ll fill out those applications and get back to them tomorrow.

What I’d really like is for a non-retail job to vaporize out of thin air in front of my nose. That would be nice.

I’m without internet access at my place of residence for the rest of this week. My response to emails (nobody ever really emails me, except maybe Mom or Mark) will be limited and slow.

I’m getting my hair cut today. Yay! (Thanks again, Tracy!) It could just be the highlight of my day.

And now I flee for my parking meter is nearly expired.

Lessons At Chili’s in Omaha
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on February 28th, 2003, at 12:12pm

If there’s one thing I’ve learned today, it’s not to trust a margarita. “I’ll just have one with dinner since I can.” Well… it was a Blue Pacific margarita, and I was kinda shocked when it came out. It was half as big as my head. (Ok, perhaps that’s an exaggeration.) In any case, the waiter kinda scared me when he said “Jeez dude, you drank that like a fish. There were four shots in it.” So, in summary, I’m not going to drink alcohol for a while. There’s a lot better ways to spend my life then tipsy off of a stinkin’ margarita.

I had a good time hanging out with Mark and his Jen up in Omaha again today. We had dinner at Chili’s, went to a mall, hung out at Border’s for a while, and shortly after that I came back home. With the hour drive both ways, I’m worn out. Time to study Japanese for a bit and then sleepy time for me.

In other news
Cora got an RA job here in the same dorm I’m in this year. Woohoo! I’m not sure about Jake or anybody else I know who applied, but I’ll probably find out what happened tomorrow. Latez!
