The Last Few Days

Life, Movies No Comments »Time: 2:34am

The last few days have been pretty cool. Better than the first few this week, anyway. I’ve been able to have some good quiet times reading the Bible and praying. I’ve also had some good conversations with some of my friends and been encouraged by that.

The next few days aren’t going to be especially busy. I’ve got a lot of work to do for a paper I have due after break. I’m rather afraid of this paper because I haven’t done much reading of the materials that it deals with. In essence… it’s going to be hard. With Thanksgiving coming so quickly, I’m afraid I’ll put it off to long and suffer the consequences.

Thursday night was fun. Listened to Cora play the piano, took some seventeen.com quizzes (What type of shoes fit your personality?), and chatted. Also got to hang out for a while with Phil, Tracy, and Kristen P.

Last night was fun, too. Nav Nite then Crescent Moon. After that (about midnight), Cora, Justin, Keith, Misty, and I came back to Pound and watched She’s All That. Fact: this was the first movie I ever owned. We had to rent it last night, though, cause I gave this movie to my mother after freshman year of college due to the ridicule of some friends from that year. Anyway, it’s a half-decent movie and I’ve got too many lines memorized. Next time we watch a movie though, we need a good guy-flick. We Were Soldiers or something similarly cool.

I’m going to try to hang out with Cramer today. Other then that, I read a chapter of Wild at Heart and now I’m planning on doing a tad bit of homework. Latez!

Kindly

Life No Comments »Time: 9:46pm

Short rant:
Never leave your backpack behind your chair. I did, and I left it there. Fortunately it was rescued by a kind woman who gave it to a kind man. The kind man called me, told me he had it, and we both hang up. Then, through some odd fluke of three-way-calling I ended up talking to the kind woman when she was trying to call the kind man. Is it coincidence? I think not.

Anyway, I’ve got a lot of homework to do. It’s 10PM and I’ve still got two tests to study for and a paper to write. Had a good chance to talk to a friend Cramer, though, so it was worth losing an hour.

The Usual Sort

Books No Comments »Time: 1:59pm

Sleeping in rocks. Did it on Saturday and today. Had lunch with my friend Tim yesterday. It was our first chance to hang out this semester.

During the rest of Saturday, did a bit of homework and watched Analyze This with Cora, Jake, Justin B., and Matt. Read a bit more of “The Visitation” by Frank Peretti. It’s an interesting fictional novel with Christian themes. A lot of it seems to be based on Peretti’s own experiences as a pastor.

So today not much is going on. Church at Zion like usual, lunch, and now… homework and whatnot. Not very exciting, is it? Three tests this week and other assorted homework.
