test results, hair cut, etc.
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on March 6th, 2003, at 8:02am

I got my test grade back for my take-home Early Christianity test. Happilly, I received an 89% on it. Granted, it’s not quite an “A”, but I remain within grasping distance.

I feel freeeeeeeeeeeeee. Ok, ok, maybe just light-headed. No wait, that’s confusing, too. Perhaps I should just say “I got a haircut.” Yeah. There you go. I got my hairs cut.

In less then joyful news, Cora didn’t get the CA job for this summer. She’s still thinking about what she’ll end up doing.

I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing this summer. I need to talk to my parents about it. Signup for summer classes starts on March 10, so I need to decide soon. I may stay in Lincoln and hope I find a job. It’s time to start looking. twinge of nervousness I don’t want to be 21 yet, Mom!

Quick apology: Sorry again for missing lunch today, Bart. My bad. I really look forward to eating lunch with ya, so when I forget about it I (not literally) kick myself.

That’s it for now. I worked on a new poem today, but I’m going to hold off posting it for a while. I’ll hook it up later. G’evening.

The Last Few Days
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on November 23rd, 2002, at 2:34am

The last few days have been pretty cool. Better than the first few this week, anyway. I’ve been able to have some good quiet times reading the Bible and praying. I’ve also had some good conversations with some of my friends and been encouraged by that.

The next few days aren’t going to be especially busy. I’ve got a lot of work to do for a paper I have due after break. I’m rather afraid of this paper because I haven’t done much reading of the materials that it deals with. In essence… it’s going to be hard. With Thanksgiving coming so quickly, I’m afraid I’ll put it off to long and suffer the consequences.

Thursday night was fun. Listened to Cora play the piano, took some seventeen.com quizzes (What type of shoes fit your personality?), and chatted. Also got to hang out for a while with Phil, Tracy, and Kristen P.

Last night was fun, too. Nav Nite then Crescent Moon. After that (about midnight), Cora, Justin, Keith, Misty, and I came back to Pound and watched She’s All That. Fact: this was the first movie I ever owned. We had to rent it last night, though, cause I gave this movie to my mother after freshman year of college due to the ridicule of some friends from that year. Anyway, it’s a half-decent movie and I’ve got too many lines memorized. Next time we watch a movie though, we need a good guy-flick. We Were Soldiers or something similarly cool.

I’m going to try to hang out with Cramer today. Other then that, I read a chapter of Wild at Heart and now I’m planning on doing a tad bit of homework. Latez!

Not Quite in Laramie
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on November 8th, 2002, at 1:36am

Last night (technically, anyway…) I went to see The Laramie Project with Cora, Jesse, and Justin B. It’s a play about the events and people in Laramie, Wyoming surrounding the murder of Matthew Shephard, a homosexual man. I don’t agree with all of the opinions voiced and agreed with by members of the cast, but I did find it to be thought provoking. While I believe homosexuality is a sin, I do not believe it is right for anyone, and especially Christians, to hate or generally ignore homosexuals. Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This does not excuse their actions. A person’s sin is not an excuse for anyone to sin against them in any way: thoughts, deeds, or actions.

On a lighter note, after that we watched 10 Things I Hate About You. Funny movie. I haven’t seen it in over three years, so it was fun to watch again. And now, I need to get hopping into bed.

One final note: Tracy’s birthday was yesterday. Whee! I hope it was cool for ya.

And now.

I Feel So Alive
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on October 27th, 2002, at 6:42am

I feel so alive. We got back from Springfield about an hour ago. It was a fun weekend and definitely worth it. I’m beginning to enjoy road tripping very much, although it does damage the checking account fundage. (Note: I still haven’t gotten any donations to my PayPal account… *sigh* [Also note: not really expecting it either...])

Cora, Keith, and I left Lincoln about 6PM on Friday. We made it to Springfield about midnight and went bowling. One of Cora’s cousins, Nate, lives in Springfield and his roommates were out of town this weekend, so the housing situation was pretty good.

Saturday we had lunch at Taco Bell. After bringing Nate home from his work (his car was busted), we went to Bass Pro Sports. That place was HUGE! I haven’t been to Cabela’s yet here in Nebraska so I can’t compare them, but this place was bigger then the mall in my hometown (population 80k). We went down to Branson, Missouri next. There were a couple different places we wanted to check out, but they were closed getting ready for their Christmas shows since it’s almost November. Mini-golfing was a great alternative. We drove back towards Springfield a bit later and ate dinner on the way at a little diner in Ozark. Yum! $7 for chicken strips, real mashed potatos, and corn. Finished watching Meet The Parents (from earlier in the day), had some frozen custard at Andy’s (my first time trying it. good stuff). Went around Springfield a bit seeing a skating rink, some dorms, and a bit of other stuff downtown. Watched True Lies before bed.

Sunday morning, merely woke up, had breakfast, and started driving.

It was pretty cool getting to talk to Cora and Keith a lot and getting to know them both better. I didn’t know Keith very well before the trip other then seeing him at dinner and around the dorm room. Now we know each other a bit better. Cora and I hang out a lot as it is, but it was also cool getting to learn a few new things about her and also just her being there.

So yeah. That’ll be the last random road trip I take for a while. If you know of any job opportunities, please email me. Latez!

Not Random Enough
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on October 25th, 2002, at 4:14am

It’s just not random enough if you put in three of four hours of thought in advance. Currently, I’m not even sure of this randomness will unfold. I hope so, but this time due to necessity I’m involving a few other people who are still making their decisions. sigh

Update: Yeah, so it worked out finally. Cora, Keith, and I are heading down to Springfield, Missouri for the weekend. It should be fun just hanging out and doing… whatever there is to do in Springfield. I don’t think I’ve ever been there before, so I’ll let you know what goes down when I get back.
