I’m feeling good. My immune system is finally back in gear so I can eat normal (microwaved food) again. Although I managed to add Cup O’ Noodle to my diet in the interim period.
Ran into snow today. The fortunate thing about typically getting to work 50 minutes early means that on days with bad weather I usually still make it on time. I’ve only been late to this job once by ten minutes and that was easy enough to make up on lunch break.
I’m keeping busy with lots of potential web projects. I’ve got MyTwitter that I’ve been working on and I’m also helping out with two other projects — one with my church and another one w/ some guys from Saturdays. It’s good times. Once I get a laptop I’ll be able to do even a little bit more hopefully, but this is still a hope and not quite reality.
Managed to sit in on a conversation regarding theology today. I know the term “Federal Vision” though I don’t have any grasp of the underlying theological concepts at this point. I intend to look at it more at some point, but that day is not today. Plus, due to either intellectual laziness or a more keen interest in other topics (punk rock, coding, etc.) I really am not all that interested. I’ll look into it a bit at some point though.
If I ever do read up on Federal Vision, these are the first resources I will check: Wikipedia: Federal Vision and Federal Vision and Theopedia: Federal Vision.

I’ve moved MyTwitter for Wordpress to a new project page.
MyTwitter is a Wordpress plugin I created that allows users to display their Twitter status updates (tweets) on their Wordpress blog and update their status through the Options page. It includes customization options including number of tweets to display and formatting options. It can be called as a function or used as a widget.
You can see MyTwitter in action at the main page of my site.
At the time of writing this post, MyTwitter has been downloaded 1,150 times via Wordpress Plugins (download current version now).
It’s also interesting to note the number of different languages I’ve seen for pages referring to or using my plugin. To date, among sites linking to mine talking about the plugin, I’ve seen English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Chinese, German, Japanese, and Russian. It’s a global community!

// TODO: no error checking - we’re bold…
This has to be the best code comment ever. Not very intelligent, but humorous at least. Probably explains why the application got hacked 45 minutes after launching on the web. The victim was John McCrea, Plaxo’s VP of Marketing, using the first web application based on Google’s new OpenSocial APIs.
If you’re curious, OpenSocial is Google’s new interface for creating widgets/gadgets/apps for social networking platforms. It’s partners currently include Engage.com, Friendster, hi5, Hyves, imeem, LinkedIn, MySpace, Ning, Oracle, orkut, Plaxo, Salesforce.com, Six Apart, Tianji, Viadeo, and XING. No information yet whether Facebook, Microsoft, or Yahoo will be joining the initiative. If it makes its way to Facebook at some point, you’ll want to be aware for the simple reason that a poorly coded application can be vulnerable to attack. Some existing Facebook applications have vulnerabilities, but for the most part are limited.
