Christian shlock at its finest: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost legos
It’s sad and funny at the same time. “Glow-in-the-Dark Holy Ghost.” Wow… if that’s not like the real thing, I don’t know what is…
ceases sarcasm now

Spider-Man was definitely better to watch then the football game yesterday. Alas, the Big Red has been humiliated once again. I went to Amy H.’s house to watch the game and ended up being there for about 11 hours. There was a slight break involved in running to the store to get the ingredients for dinner. Amy, Amy, Phil, Kevin, Kim, and I all ate some chili, chicken noodle soup, and cinamon rolls. Home cooking is awesome.
Today’s gone well so far, too, other then complete lack of homework getting done. Church at Zion like usual this morning and after that went over to the Lutheran Chapel for an English Conversation Partner lunch. I’ve got a Chinese conversation partner now. I didn’t actually meet him at the dinner. After the dinner, Cora, Yaling, and I went over to a building on campus where both Yaling and Dong Li have their offices. Dong Li is my conversation partner. I got to talk to him and his wife, Catherine (she’s Chinese, but this is the name she asked to be called). He’s interested in learning about God and I’m going to meet him at church again next week and hopefully be able to talk to him about Christianity and what it means. I was surprised when one of his first statements was “I want to know more about God.” Anyway, if you’d like to, please pray for Li. And that God would show me what he wants me to be saying to him.
I’m going to go work on some homework now. Latez!
Yo! So yesterday was a pretty good day. I had a good talk with Bart for lunch. Met with Norma Jean after that and she set me up with a Chinese conversation partner. I emailed him but haven’t heard back yet. I’m gonna be just talking to him in able to help him practice his English and get to know a bit more about American culture. Last night, Remedy played over on East Campus. They were great as usual. Afterwards, a few of us went over to Kappa Delta and watched Legally Blonde. Woohoo! By the end of the night, I was extremely wired after having two Pepsis and the fact that it was slightly after 2AM.
Now, I’m heading off to a football party. I hope our team wins today.
I lay and watched the half-moon descending behind the city last night. Today, the sky is cloudy, but there is some blue and the sun is definitely out.

A woman looks at me,
bold eyes, two glistening plates, peering out.
A striped sweater warms her body and neck.
I want her
to speak. If she can talk
to me about an empty cage,
devoid of pet ferret,
or another odd highlight of her day,
I could be entertained
for a moment or three nods.
Her hair is lengthy and seal-brown,
a soft touch kindling my fervor.
Add two mittens for flavor!
I want more
time to spend looking at her, but
I wasted my nickels and dimes on flavored cola
(I blame curiosity)
and now she’s frozen, an ice palace I cant touch because
she’s a merely a picture.
Another dream I can purchase, but never fully
own.
