I read about Sockbaby over at The Dane’s place. Sockbaby is good times. The martial arts are actually really well done, and the lines are just ridiculous enough to be hilarious.
Keith Hughes has a spoof of the James Blunt song “You’re Beautiful.” His version is called “My Cubicle” and it’s quite amusing, especially for the office worker who can relate. Check out the music video — don’t know who made it, but it’s appropriate. There’s an article at the Denver Post about Hughes and this song.
Previously, Weird Al released a spoof of the song called “You’re Pitiful” (see his site for download links), but I find the Hughes version to be superior.
Stephen Colbert: Wikiality (YouTube)
Yet another genious sketch from Stephen Colbert. He discusses the problems with trusting Wikipedia. During the taping of the show, he made edits to his own profile on Wikipedia and also encouraged vandalism of other articles as a means of changing the truth. Specifically, he encouraged viewers to edit articles on elephants to say their population has doubled in the last three months. Anyway, I’ll spare you more talk and just tell you to watch the video.
The following quotes from the episode were added to Colbert’s Wikipedia entry within three minutes of the segment airing on Comedy Central. (See the old entry for Colbert on Wikipedia):
• “Any show that has a longer segment on truthiness than Lutherans has its priorities strait.”
• “Anyone can logon and change it, and if enough people agree with it, it becomes truth”
