Dancing 2008 from Where the Hell Is Matt?

I found this video incredibly inspiring. It’s one further push in the direction I’m leaning.

Whichever direction takes me around the world. Seattle is a good center point, but I need to TRAVEL!!! All y’all in Nebraska or Kansas or Illinois or Colorado or wherever who are married or working or in college… well, I’m hoping to take advantage of my singleness and my freeness and do something spectacular with it. “Rocking Our Sales” by Bruce ServicePack and the Vista Street Band: It’ll make you cringe. And want to downgrade to XP. (Oh, wait already did?)

My next computer will be a Mac. If I need games, I’ll get Parallels to boot up XP on those rare occasions.

Currently, I’ll running XP on my desktop and Ubuntu on my laptop. I love Ubuntu.

Even with the many improvements made to Linux OSes over the last decade plus, Ubuntu is not for the faint of heart. But, if you can get it into shape and working, it provides all the power you need for web development.

I’m not exactly thrilled about McCain taking the Republican nomination, either. Huckabee still has a shot, but his policies don’t seem well defined if even existent and I’m not sure what he’s got going for him other than a good personality and some Baptist fire.

Obama makes good speeches. Inspiring speeches. I don’t agree with all his policies, but with all his campaign’s focus on hope he manages to generate some. I’d like to have hope. I’d like to believe Obama can bring the change America needs.

With politicians, it’s always safe to be skeptical. Then when things go wrong later, you won’t be disappointed.
