Tuesday, May 27, 2008I just discovered Animoto, a music video creator. You feed it your images and a song you want to use and it uses its magical math skills to fit the images to the beat.
It let’s you create 30-second videos for free. Longer videos with additional features cost either $3/video or $30/year.
For now, I’m sticking w/ the free video option. My first attempt at creating one is below using pictures from the recent trip Benjamin and Suzanne took to visit me.

My next computer will be a Mac. If I need games, I’ll get Parallels to boot up XP on those rare occasions.
Currently, I’ll running XP on my desktop and Ubuntu on my laptop. I love Ubuntu.
Even with the many improvements made to Linux OSes over the last decade plus, Ubuntu is not for the faint of heart. But, if you can get it into shape and working, it provides all the power you need for web development.

I’m not exactly thrilled about McCain taking the Republican nomination, either. Huckabee still has a shot, but his policies don’t seem well defined if even existent and I’m not sure what he’s got going for him other than a good personality and some Baptist fire.
Obama makes good speeches. Inspiring speeches. I don’t agree with all his policies, but with all his campaign’s focus on hope he manages to generate some. I’d like to have hope. I’d like to believe Obama can bring the change America needs.
With politicians, it’s always safe to be skeptical. Then when things go wrong later, you won’t be disappointed.
