Up and Running

I’ve got the page moved to the new address now, right here at surfhobo.com. Right now I’ve got everything moved over here except for the picture gallery, and I will get it added back later.

New Host Soon!
Posted by on December 6th, 2002, at 12:15am

My buddy Ryan has graciously hooked me up with free hosting for a year from Extreme Surf. I’ve got a domain name en route and I’ll begin the process of transferring the site over to the new address within the next few days. Thanks, Ryan!

Update: The sites contents may be frozen at a relatively soon point in time. Just so you know.

Update: My friend Ryan is has a reseller account with ES so it’s completely legit for this to happen.

One More Time

Hi. I’m switching site engines. Again. The last one was too complicated and had some bugs, so I’m simplifying a bit. I’m hoping this one will be interesting and involve fewer problems in the long run. Thanks for being patient.

well, it’s me, the Digital Hobo, starting off The Soup Kitchen right with The First Post!

I’ll work on loading in all the old blog posts to the new form in the coming days. For now, you can look for new posts and stuff here…

Tomorrow night I’m going swing dancing. Hopefully everybody shows up that said “maybe” or ‘uhm… probably” or “I hope so.” I’m looking forward to it. Tonight I’m gonna chill with one of my smarter friends. He has the scholarships to prove it. Anyway, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 beckons once again…

Note: At this point, I changed from Blogger to a different hosting tool. I don’t remember which one for sure, but I think I was trying out PHP-Nuke before later changing to MovableType and then eventually to WordPress.

Chills

The last day has been… odd. Yesterday morning it was a tad chilly, yesterday afternoon it was 94 degrees F, and last night it rained like crazy. And now, the sky is grey. All over. Somewhat depressing.

Fortunately, I’m still in a cheery disposition. What’s cheered me up? I always appreciate honest and open conversations with my friends (thanks, -rific!).

I started playing around yesterday with a new interface for my blog which will be insanely more complex, but at the same time, also more interesting. For an example of what I’m talking about, see PHP-Nuke. Yeah. Is that complex or what? That way I can do completely pointless things like taking polls, posting honestly interesting information, and things like that.
