in ReaLity, I have a test on Thursday. Survived one today. Oh, and I’ve had a few ideas since yesterday. I was reading Wild at Heart by John Eldredge. It inspired me. I feel like …. doing something. Specifically, running for student body president. This idea is still speculative.

Wild at Heart is pretty good so far though. I’ve only read the first chapter, but it ’s been causing me to think a lot about the way I am and act as a man and how (or how it doesn’t) fit God’s design.

Home, Home on the Range

I’m back home. Got in last night around 10:30PM. I’m always glad to not be driving when my hands are jittering and my eyes fluttering. I hate caffeine.

It was cool to see my friends. It wasn’t what I expected and we didn’t really do anything that fun (except for go-karts). I enjoyed talking to Mark about life and hearing some of his stories. A lot of them were pretty crazy, and those were generally the ones which involved night-life in German towns. Yeah.

Life goes on… today is going to be busy. I’m in a state of perpetual tiredness right now and really wishing for some time to just sleep. This weekend is a Navigator’s conference in Iowa called Main Event. It’s also Fall Break though, so no school next Monday or Tuesday.

I’ll throw up a BFP later today if my brain comes up with any fun ideas. Latez.

be home soon

I’ll be back to Nebraska sometime tonight. My time at home has been …….. ok. There were some parts, but I’ll fill you in later. G’bye.

Join the Army, Today!

Future Soldier Or not. But that doesn’t make it any less cool. The United States Army is spread out all over the world in many different countries. It does a lot and protects our country in ways we never find out about. The Army isn’t meant for everybody, but if you want to learn things about it, you could always ask Mark.

Me: Why’d you join the Army?
Mark: I joined after 9/11 to serve my country and follow in my family’s footsteps. The adventure also appealed to me as well as the numerous college benifits.
Me: Do you ever regret making that decision (to join)?
Mark: No, not at all.
Me: What’s the coolest thing you’ve seen or done during your time so far (that you can talk about)?
Mark: Well, I’ve seen and done more over the last year than most people I know have done in their lifetime. Some of it bad, some of it good. The “coolest” I guess would be my time with my platoon as we entered a village to rescue about 6 civilians from a small, heavily-armed Militia. It was all training of course, but it was definately exhilerating and taught me alot.
Me: Is there any way American citizens at home can help support you?
Mark: Your prayers and suport of our flag on a daily basis are more of a help than you know.
The End

That was an interview with my friend Mark. I appreciate the things he does for our country, and he’s my friend now as he has always been. He’s going to be at home this weekend, and I’m going back to visit him. That said, I’m going to be out of town till Sunday. I may or may not post during that time. Latez!

Update: For the curious foreigners who want to join the United States Army, you can’t. Get a green card, come to America, become a citizen, and then perhaps you can join our Army.

Will Work 4 FoodI need fuud. No job around. A famous man said “give me job, or kill me.” You remember? Starve is bad, so I need money. I will spend on good fuud and try hard find job.

No seriously, I’m not selling out. I swear. I’ve seen lots of people do this, so it isn’t even technically considered “lame” or “wrong.” Then again, those people have thousands of readers, some sort of talent, or useful service. *sigh*

So yeah. Click it - PayPal link. I won’t mention this again for the sake of not driving y’all insane, but the link will remain over on the right hand side of the page. Money I do get from this will probably be spent on upgrading my server (it’s sitting on my lovely little Pentium 3 right now), a domain name, miscellaneous expenses, or paying for college.
