Christian shlock at its finest: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost legos

It’s sad and funny at the same time. “Glow-in-the-Dark Holy Ghost.” Wow… if that’s not like the real thing, I don’t know what is…

ceases sarcasm now

MegaTokyo

MegaTokyo blanketMegaTokyo is a sweet manga webcomic done by Fred Gallagher (a.k.a. Piro). “Manga” is a term for comics drawn in a Japanese style. The comic is about the characters of Piro and Largo who are currently stuck in Japan. It’s a rather odd and amusing comic at times and draws intensively on the mixed culture created when throwing these Americans into Japan and also involving a lot of tech humor. There are often references to video game systems, zombies, evil robots, and other such things. Largo commonly employs “leet” speak (1 4M 1337 U L4M3R -> note: this is my attempt at representing it. Some people can do it without using any letters. This says “I am leet [elite] you lamer.” This kind of talk is commonly employed by frequenters of internet video gaming and chat culture.) Fred just got laid off at his real life job, so now he’s going to start doing MegaTokyo full time. W00T! This means the three posts a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) will probably really get done every week with no filler material (DPD - Dead Piro Day, or SGD - Stig Guy Dom). So, check it out, it’s good stuff. (On a side note, I wish I had the bedspread shown in the picture. It’s not on sale for the masses, though…. yet.)

Holy Expletive, look at that squirrel!

Squirrel drinking Capri SunI like Capri Sun, too. I wouldn’t drink it straight off the ground though. Capri Sun isn’t my favorite beverage though. My favorite beverage would have to be Calpis Water. I had it in Japan this summer and seriously loved the stuff.

One time, this guy saw a squirrel running up the side of the dorm building outside the cafeteria window. “Holy @%#$, look at that squirrel!” We all laughed. The squirrel and the guy who said it were both funny.

The squirrel in this picture was caught on camera this summer by somebody out in Colorado.

Hobo Art

HoboI was stumbling across the web one day (… today…) and found a picture of a hobo. This drawing is done by Dave Brosha (More Drawings).

His site is another of the many weblogs I’ve seen recently. I’m truly beginning to realize the extent of blogging and the newness of it. I may not live in Canada or do anything particularly interest most of the time, but I hope to carve out some sort of niche. We’ll see now, won’t we?
