What would you like on your Tombstone?

Answer: “Death by Videogaming…”

“A 24-year-old South Korean man died after playing computer games nonstop for 86 hours, police said yesterday. The jobless man, identified by police only by his last name Kim, was found dead at an Internet cafe in Kwangju, 260 kilometres southwest of Seoul, they said.” — Slashdot

So this is the most disgusting thing I’ve ever read. I know sometimes I don’t pay good attention to life when I’m glued to my computer in rapt fascination or determination. If I’m ever this bad though, please forcibly save whatever I’m working on and then PULL THE POWER STRIP FROM THE WALL! If you’re a true friend, you know this is for the best.

Counting Clothes

1 shirt, 2 shirt, red shirt, blue shirt. I have a lot of clothes. Several weeks worth, even. I’ve done a few loads of laundry in the last few weeks… the essentials, of course. y’know what I mean. I’ve got a few loads that have been sitting around though do to lack of laundry-quarters (normal quarters, but destined from inception for the laundry machine). I plan on taking this all home this weekend and doing it for free. Yay, parent’s-washing-machine! I forgot to ask Mom if they got the dryer fixed yet…

It’s been a while since I smoked anything. A couple months since my last cigar, half-a-year since my last complete StarCraft victory, a year or so since I played Diablo II or Jedi Knight. I’ve gotten smoked a few times recently, though. A couple bad tests, a bit of sleep depravation…. oh yeah. Well… y’know what? DIE TESTS DIE SLEEPLESSNESS DIE!!!!

It rolls by in slow motion and you rub it for good luck”

One More Time

Hi. I’m switching site engines. Again. The last one was too complicated and had some bugs, so I’m simplifying a bit. I’m hoping this one will be interesting and involve fewer problems in the long run. Thanks for being patient.

yay.

Ok, so here’s a real life blog post for the first time in a while. Things are actually going pretty decent. I’ve been taking lots of free time, hanging out with friends a lot, talking to people, and enjoying life. My class grades aren’t doing the best they could possibly be right now… something to do with procrastination, methinks. I’ve got a bit of Japanese homework to do tonight and some other things I could start working on for Thursday and Friday.

Politics is interesting, isn’t it? It’s complicated trying to figure out the moral and ethical applications of not letting somebody have something they want really badly, but you know it will destroy the productivity of the rest of the team. What? You say “bah, drop it, drop him, and move on?” Oh, if only it were that easy. Public humilation isn’t the best option.

In music land… Christianrock.net has been one of my constant listening stops this week. I seriously enjoy the music they play on this site. I can’t say that about most other radio stations.

I’m going home this weekend to chill with my family and more specifically a friend of mine who is home on leave from the Army. Considering I live 8 hours from home, I haven’t gotten back much this semester, so I’m looking forward to it quite a bit. (no, my huge pile of laundry has nothing to do with it.
