Dare I Dance, Too?
Good Times, Video July 11th. 2008, 7:59pmDancing 2008 from Where the Hell Is Matt?
I found this video incredibly inspiring. It’s one further push in the direction I’m leaning.
“Which direction is that?” you ask.
Whichever direction takes me around the world. Seattle is a good center point, but I need to TRAVEL!!! All y’all in Nebraska or Kansas or Illinois or Colorado or wherever who are married or working or in college… well, I’m hoping to take advantage of my singleness and my freeness and do something spectacular with it. Now I’ve just gotta work on my dance moves. Perhaps I should ask Jake for some pointers?

What are you getting at Cal? Do you mean to imply that I’m a skilled dancer?

Either that or I’m being sarcastic. You are good at country swing.
That’s it, I just need to find a dance partner and I’ll country swing around the world! Not as cool as the “white guy dance” though.

I highly recommend travel. Do it as much as you can while you can. I’ve been planning my big Southeast Asia Adventure every Fall now for about four or five years and every Fall it seems like something gets in the way. This year it was a gall bladder. Next year it will be Europe. The year after…? It would be a shame if I never got to go.

Hello Erundur. I decided to google my own nom de plume to see if anyone else had chosen it. I found this site and wouldn’t you know that I, too, had discovered Matt’s dancing video in the last few days!
Are you a polyglot or interested in Quenya alone?
July 25th, 2008 at 6:26pm
Erundur — unfortunately, I’m not a polyglot. I went through a stint where I spent some time looking at Quenya and learning a few words, but that was a few years ago. Most of the time I speak English with a smattering of Spanish and Japanese thrown in to mix things up. The only time I really use Quenya is when I’m explaining this name to people.
What about you? Are you a polyglot?

Erundur, Varyar Eruseldion — am I correct in thinking your name means “God’s Servant, Protector of God’s Children”?
July 26th, 2008 at 7:08pm
Yes, I am. Languages are my passion.
You are correct in your translation, “God’s servant, the true swordsman”. (That what you were going for?)
Nice to blog-comment chat with you :)
