Beware: My Mom Is Reading

My mom is using an RSS reader now. It means she’ll know about each post right away. It also means my mom knows more about technology than you.

I applied for a different job today. Same employer, same title, (almost) same building, but different scenery. I hope I get it. The biggest benefit would be a reduction in the amount of time I spend talking to customers and an increase in the amount of time I get to spend using my brain.

Can something melt if it’s never finished freezing?

Abcess of Doom II

The doctor lanced the cyst in my arm today.

He narrated as he performed the procedure: “Oh, that’s a lot of ooze. There we go, just had to agitate the hell out of it to make it come out. It looks like cottage cheese.”

I replied, “I don’t like cottage cheese.”

“Neither do I.”

So all is fine in Armland. Just have to wait a few days for it to heal up while continuing to take antibiotic meds. The fun part will come after it’s done healing and I schedule an appointment to have surgery to completely excise the cyst.

TMI? I hope so.

It’s Called Classic Rock for a Reason

DRM-Free 256kbps Led Zeppelin MP3s on Amazon. I bought IV and I’m liking it. I picked this album due to the universally adored Stairway to Heaven, but also hope to enjoy some of the other tunes.

So I don’t know about you, but Amazon MP3 is totally pwning the iTunes Store right now. The songs are cheaper and without any ridiculous copyright restrictions so it’s easy as heck to back up songs, burn them, and even use them on the iPod.

On the same topic, I like these lyrics:
“To find a queen without a king,
They say she plays guitar and cries and sings… la la la la
Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn
Tryin’ to find a woman who’s never, never, never been born.”
