Unfortunately, I didn't begin soon enough and am in the middle of number two right now. My brother encouraged me to read the epigraph to The Deathly Hallows nonetheless. I'm glad I did. It lends me a powerful and peaceful satisfaction about the tale. It tells me how things will work when all has been done, but with no clumsy and ruinous declarations. The joy is not the raw detail and revelation in itself but to see the fullness revealed. The epigraph helps this along by confirming it. I cannot imagine a better way to read a story than, while enjoying wondering about the specific path, being satisfied with the whole.
