Threadless Sale
Posted by Erundur Anwamehtar on May 31st, 2007, at 12:28pm

Just an FYI, but Threadless is having a sale right now with most of their T-Shirts going for $10/each. There’s new shirts, reprints, and some old designs I would assume they’re trying to unload. In any case though, there should be something to please everyone. For instance, these are the ones I’ve purchased:

Threadless - Emo Bear

Threadless - Summer

That’s right. I’m emo.

My only disappointment about this sale is that “The Communist Party” T-shirt is out of stock in my size. I merely have to hope that the Party will become Large again.

Apologies

I apologize if you had trouble accessing the site today. One of my Wordpress plugins randomly stopped working for whatever reason, so I axed it and replaced it with a newer, better version of an alternative plugin and now things are running smoothly. I also upgraded to the most recent version of Wordpress while I was at it. You probably won’t be able to tell the difference, but if you’d like you can just imagine the engine of your car without any dust or misplaced grease. It’s like that.

Also, if you’ve tried using my RSS feed lately and it wasn’t working… I apologize. Apparently the address I had set up at Feedburner was from my old address from over a year ago which stopped redirecting at some point so things went dead. Whoops!

In any case, the feed addresses are as follows and are up to date and functioning properly:

Update: I’ve also refreshed the link categories in the sidebar to recommend sites I enjoy more recently. Also did some slight reorganizing of the sections and added a new “Teh Awesome” category for miscellaneous sites I enjoy. If you haven’t heard about Starcraft II yet, go view the previews at the link.

You’ll notice if you look closely that there are a few minor formatting issues with the text layout currently. I’m working to resolve this problem, but it’s not going to be finished tonight.

Another Update: I’ve tried some different plugin options for the formatting (Textile2 and TextileWrapper). While the newest versions of both of these plugins work, I’m encountering some spacing problems on a few of my posts. For now I’m just going to leave this plugin off and fix any of my posts where I used Textile to do the formatting.

An Ounce of Lyrics

The Weakerthans - Aside lyrics:

In love with love and lousy poetry
And I’m leaning on this broken fence
Between past and present tense
And I’m losing all those stupid games
That I swore I’d never play
But it almost feels okay

So much happens in ten days, this is a brief checklist of things I would like to write about, but may never have a chance to get caught up on:

Thursday (May 17): The one-handed man on the plane from Seattle to Denver. Eventless flight to Omaha. Ride w/ Varvel to the bachelor party. Bachelor party.

Friday: Tyler + Luebbe + thai. Tux rental, rehearsal dinner, potential poisoning. Coffee w/ Cora. Final moments talking w/ bachelor-Phil.

Saturday: Wedding + the ups and downs. Sprite toast, substitute best man, seeing people. Dancing w/ the ladies. Tackling Phil’s brother to grab the garter. “May your quiver be full!” Cards.

Sunday: the dog, the airport, $9 roast beef + cranberry juice, mom. G&G, picked up dad at the bus station.

Monday: Getting the U-Haul, Wendy’s, lock, blankets, Mother’s day a week late, mowing the lawn, loading the truck, poker party w/ the Boulder crew. Suzanne unconscious and no good markers to draw on her.

Tuesday: Finish packing and drive. iPod. Stayed in Billings, MT. Smoky room.

Wednesday: Billings, MT to Kirkland, WA. More iPod. Country songs.

Thursday (May 24): Seeing Washington on the Eastside w/ my bro (wetlands, Medina beach, Chipotle). Movie: The Namesake. Trigun.

Friday: Work+

Saturday: Airport + grocery shopping + sausage balls + work.

Sunday: Church. Pirates 3. And typing, typing, typing…

Reading the Signs

I’ve met an interesting girl the old fashioned way — by asking a guy at work if his sister is hot and available. Turns out she is available, and she’s not bad looking. I’m not looking for a super model, but if my first thought at seeing a woman is “well, I suppose I could work really hard at loving her someday and overlook her obvious disfigurement” then the relationship isn’t going to happen. Needless to say, I didn’t think this when I met my friend’s sister.

Plus, there are other positive signs. Firstly, she’s obsessed with anime. Secondly, she lives in a mobile home behind her Christian, former-hippy parents in rural Washington. Thirdly, she lives near Bremerton. (To find out why Bremerton matters at all, you must know of MxPx and their song “Move to Bremerton” [lyrics].)

Anyway, I met her when playing Nintendo Wii with my friend Teddy from work. Teddy informs me she “wants to watch anime with you sometime.” So hey, I’m thinking this is a good sign.

Speaking of the Wii, it’s an awesome system for party games. Probably not so much the “I’m gonna fight and kill for hours and then pretend to steal cars and run over people” type of games, but definitely good for multiplayer action and mini-games. I ended up playing Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz with Teddy, his sister, and his cousin for about six hours yesterday. It has some excellent mini-games. Some of the games are horrible, but most of them are intriguing and playable on a repetitive basis in a quest for glory and bragging rights.

“Ha, I can totally play simulated pool way better than you can! I’m the man!”

Oh yeah. That’s right. I’m the man.
