Ink Stains on a Paper Napkin
A Poem by Erundur Anwamehtar
February 01, 2007
I dream in caramel
a nightmare so edible
I lick my lips and scream
suffering through sweet insincerity.
Suck it in more, witness gore
your tongue will not forget
the flavor of the moment,
the budding chaos in a night
rich and impassible
I cannot escape the chill
liquid, it brings the madness
within me.
No courage needed to ascend
the green straw,
the verdant truth can be seen:
I never want to leave.

A View of Lake Washington and Seattle: I went out today in order to soak up the sun in lovely 50 degree weather. For the scenic part of my journey, I stopped by the beach of Lake Washington behind Medina Town Hall (yeah, Bill Gates’ town).

It’s been one month and one day. I haven’t had a drop since.
