I have nothing to say to you because you have nothing to say to me.

Update: I must have been bitter when I posted this. I may have had a point, but I lost it. Now, I’m feeling cheerful. It’s Christmas in Harry Potter-land — book 5, “Order of the Phoenix.” I started rereading the series about two weeks ago. Unfortunately, I won’t get through book 6 again before I move, but I’ve been enjoying what I’ve had time to read. I may have to discover a library…

In the spirit of Christmas, I’ve just finished listening to the two Christmas songs I have in my collection. That’s right, I’ve got two Christmas songs out of 3,778 total MP3s currently residing on my computer. The sad thing is this doesn’t even include all of my albums as I’ve still got at least 40 or 50 more albums I need to copy (or recopy) to my computer.

If you’re curious, the 3,778 MP3s comprises:
- 32 genres
- 556 artists
- 247 albums
- 9 days, 22 hours, 47 minutes, and 36 seconds of music
- 24.89GB of hard drive space — for the non-geeks, this translates to 213,803,471,995 bits (a bit is either a 1 or a 0)

Oh, and before you start calling me an evil pirate and sicking the RIAA on me… these are all legal. These copies from my own collection of albums and a subscription to eMusic keep me quite happy.
