If you know anything about Myspace, you should probably listen to “The Myspace Song” by Good Clean Fun. I don’t know much about this band, but they’re the closest thing to a humorous emo/screamo/emocore/hardcore band I’ve ever heard. Five Iron Frenzy for hardcore? Maybe, but I shouldn’t get carried away. (UpBeetMusic: Reviews)
Tacos own. Much tastier than the bachelortilla. I should trademark that term. It would sell if there was a product behind the name.
Life has been going fairly well. I’m almost through the workweek (today’s my Friday). Hopefully I’ll get to see my best friend this week and find out what’s going on in his world. I have an inkling The Man might want him to go back to Iraq, and if so that really sucks, but I don’t really know. He probably couldn’t say on the phone.
I need to give you all a rundown on some good podcasts my brother helped me find a while back that I’ve gotten hooked on. I’m able to load up my iPod mini and listen to them at work, but if you’ve got a car-adapter or spend any significant amount of time in front of a computer, you can find a way to listen.
By the way, how are you guys liking my little audio things? I’m still practicing before I launch a better site for my music ambitions, but I’d like to get an idea what you’re thinking and if you’re even able to listen without problems. Leave comments or email me, please.
As far as stock experimenting goes, I’ve done some more reading and buying Chipotle might have been a bad idea. Turns out the stock is way overvalued. They say you learn the most through experience, and I’m getting some of that now.
What I know:
1) Don’t buy overvalued stock. Check it’s P/E ratio (Price/Earnings). This is a comparison of the price per share and the earnings of the company per share.
2) Hype helps if you already own the stock ’cause the price will go up, but if the price is inflated by hype you probably shouldn’t buy it. This ties in with #1.
3) Don’t be too greedy for the price to keep going up. Say, for example, you owned a few shares of Apple about a year ago. It got up to about 130% of the value I purchased it at, yet I kept holding on hoping it would continue at that pace. However, the price was getting significantly overvalued and started dropping back down. In the end, I sold it for 80% more than I bought it. This is still good, but would’ve been better if I sold a bit sooner.
And that’s all I’ve got on that so far. Gotta get going now. Later!
