Recipe for the Bachelortilla
• cooked beef-flavored ramen noodles w/ chunks of canned chicken
• tortilla
• shredded cheese
Directions: Add ramen noodles (make sure they’re cooked or this will crunch) w/ chicken chunks to tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Fold tortilla and microwave till cheese melts (depends on microwave, but mine took about a minute). Eat and enjoy! You know you will. Oh, yeah! Seriously, it’s got cheese, enjoy it.
Man, that’s sounds disgusting. I stopped eating ramen when I realized that my consumption of ramen corresponded to some interesting symptoms. I will not elaborate.
Phil, I think your situation warrants far more disgust and loathing. I’m glad our situations do not correlate — I love ramen.
hey dude,
i’m definitely going to try the bachelortilla! Sounds like it would be right up my alley. I think cheese is a bachelor’s best friend, it makes everything better! I mean serious, run out of peanutbutter and/or jelly? well then my friend, slap on some cheese–microwave is optional. Add some mustard, a beer, and some jellybeans or M&M’s and you’ve got yourself a regular feast! And don’t forget to save those extra ramen packets, that MSG will come in really handy if you’ve run out of seasoning!
I could see the msg as good seasoning but I do not want to begin identifying with bachelor food too much! :) By the way, the first time I read this post (yes I have checked your blog multiple times since then) I was surprised that someone would think to combine those ingredients in such a way! Creative and digusting all at the same time!
The right leftovers can be good inspiration.
I definitely have saved the unused ramen packets (from when I throw a thing of ramen into one of those no-name-brand pasta boxes so it’ll go further — a handy trick I learned from 4L in the summer of ’03), but I haven’t figured out any food I would actually want to use it with yet. Even for seasoning. But I don’t like wasting things, either.
