Life is just screaming by through the midterms. Two down thus far. Today was my US and Latin American Relations midterm. I felt prepared enough, although I hadn’t done much of the reading. I found myself very greatful, however, for the portions of the books that I did read or skim. The nice part about having three essay options is that I can only really know about one of them and not be found lacking in mental capacity, reasoning, or knowledge.
Next week I’ve got a paper and a midterm, then the week after that two more midterms. I believe after that is Spring Break, in which I need to devote significant ammounts of time to working on my Independent Study English class. The deadline passed, but I extended, so I’ve got till May 19 to finish. I won’t have time later, so Spring Break is the last resort. I will! I will! (Even though I’ve said it before, this time I really will!)
I’m going to see The Passion tonight. A guy from my Japanese class is also going with me. We’ve had class together for about four semesters now and have had an occassion or two to discuss religion. I’m hoping it’ll give him reason to think about the crucifixion and what Christianity is all about and that God’ll do his thing. That’s what I hope for the movie in general: regardless of all the controversy and all the advertising and push to see this film, that God would use it to bring people to faith in him. That won’t happen by people just seeing the movie, but by people hearing the word of God and coming to faith in him.
I wish I could write a research paper about something like this.
Anyway, I’m gonna go nap before dinner. Not much sleep on Wednesday nights in general, and certainly not much before a midterm.
