I’ve disassembled the monstrosity known collectively as “my computer” and stuffed it into my closet. If it’s in there, it can’t possibly distract me. Instead, I must seek out other people’s computers and that serves to distract me just as well.

Honestly, though, it’s been nice not having the distraction. That’s one of the main reasons. I’m not sure I would’ve done it though if Wiggins hadn’t encouraged me to.

It’s only been a day, but it feels more like 24 hours.

In other news, I saw “Lost in Translation” tonight on DVD and I enjoyed it. It’s not for everybody, but having been in Japan I felt I could relate to some of the loneliness and other vibes you get from the movie. The whole romantic tension through the movie was definitely odd and a little bit of nudity to watch out for, but if you can manage closing your eyes for a bit, it makes for a good story that gives insight into the experience of foreigners (especially Americans) in Japan.
