Merry Christmas, everybody! I hope you all have fantastic times with whatever you’re doing.
I’ll be opening presents with my family sometime after 10AM. Gotta wait for my bro Jesse to get back from his daily appointment uptown. (Even on Christmas…. don’t give The Man a reason to grab hold of you.) Sometime around noon we’ll head over to my aunt and uncle’s house a 45 minute drive south of home to spend some time with my mom’s side of the family. (Dad’s side lives in California/Arizona.)
I’m gonna eat loads of food, too. I have to enjoy it, not just because it’s Christmas, but my food supply is cut off at about 6PM in prep for Friday’s surgery. (Click on “continue reading” to hear me ramble more about the surgery and some details on timing.)
No worries though. None at all. Nope, I’m not worried. Nothing to worry about. Not worried at all.
Maybe they’ll let me listen to my new CDs in the recovery room. That would become the highlight of the experience.
The surgery starts around 7:15AM on Friday. My mom and I will be at the hospital by 6AM. The surgery supposedly takes an hour or less.
I’m not sure how I’ll give you all an update. I’ll try to post something on here as soon as I can, but I’m not sure how long it takes to get ungroggy after anesthesia. In any case, I’ll try to talk somebody into bringing the laptop over so I can at least say it went okay. I might have to wait until I get home though. If you’re really worried and have my home number, you can always just call and ask.
