I thought about posting some lyrics, but I figured I’d spare you the pain and anguish. Seriously, if you pitty yourself and feel like trash, I’d suggest listening to some Linkin Park or Blink-182. Talented musicians in many ways, but depressing lyrics. I’m going to drink some RC Cola and go feel sorry for myself. Yeah, I know, I’ve got no good excuse for feeling like this. I haven’t been sleeping well lately. Yeah. That’s it. Check back in tomorrow in case of a complete mood swing.
sigh “Don’t waste your time on me, you’re already a voice inside my head”
If you want to savor some Blink-182 flavor, “read more”.
Song: “I Miss You” by Blink-182 (Source)
Hello there, the angel from my nightmare
The shadow in the background of the morgue
The unsuspecting victim of darkness in the valley
We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
We’ll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we’ll wish this never ends
We’ll wish this never ends (miss you miss you, miss you miss you)Where are you and I’m so sorry
I cannot sleep I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This sick strange darkness
Comes creeping on so haunting every time
And as I stared I counted
Webs from all the spiders
Catching things and eating their insides
Like indecision to call you
and hear your voice of treason
Will you come home and stop this pain tonight
Stop this pain tonightDon’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)
Don’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)Don’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)
Don’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)Don’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)
Don’t waste your time on me you’re already
The voice inside my head (miss you miss you)
(miss you miss you, miss you miss you, miss you miss you)

A swell post my good Cal and a wonderful song. You may just be on to something. As you say - “Seriously, if you pitty yourself and feel like trash, I’d suggest listening to some . . . ”
Music can be a wonderful part of life. When I’m feeling down if I listen to music that matches my mood it helps me admit it, fully feel it, and move on. Its good to let music meet me where I am because then I can be there for a while and grow from there.
Usually, when I come out of the dumps after first being met there a song, the song reminds me of the whole process. In the end it becomes, rather than a depressing thing, an uplifting reminder of the blessing God can bring through ordinary things.
