Lack of Sleep, but That’s O.K.
Posted by on May 7th, 2003, at 11:16am

I am so done with this semester. See me rejoice. *Woohoo!*

I’m tired ’cause I couldn’t fall asleep last night (maybe some of that Mountain Dew Livewire had something to do with it) and my final was at 7:30 this morning. * yawn *

I’m going to hang out and talk with Jenny after lunch. And tonight, to 4L’s casa!

At some point I’m going to relax and enjoy the first day of summer. And then I’ll start wanting money and go find a job.

Or donate plasma.

Flexes His Muscles
Posted by on May 6th, 2003, at 1:52am

Woowheee. * rubs his muscle * I went to the Rec. Center with Cora last night and did a bit of running and some weight machines. It’s the first time I’ve worked out in a couple months. Yay. Got in some good talking with Cora during and afterwards, so that was pretty cool.

Finally have some idea what’s going on with my other hosting, as I mentioned in another updated post today.

Apparently my mom hasn’t been to my site since the new poll got up, ’cause nobody has voted for ______ being a good name for a “son.” Then again, maybe she voted for “moma’s boy.” ;)

Goals for today:
• finishing dorm Treasurer duties
• call the Gage’s
• play Diablo 2
• hang out with mis tomodachis_ (yes, that’s español and Japanese quite butchered)

"Real Life"
Posted by on May 5th, 2003, at 7:28am

There’s an article in the Sacramento Bee about Real Life, one of the comics I read on a regular basis.

The cast of [Greg] Dean’s online comic strip… is based on his girlfriend, an ex-girlfriend and several of his good buddies. All the joikkes, stories and gags are inspired by Dean’s own experienced, ruminations and observations.

The comic has a lot of technical and gaming related humor. Greg is also learning Japanese right now, which is one more point we relate on. I’ve even emailed him a couple times in the past and gotten a response, which is cool and rare for some webcomic authors who get a lot of email.

The Worst Is Over Now…
Posted by on May 5th, 2003, at 6:52am

The worst is over. I have survived. The hours between 12:30AM and 3:30AM along with the hours between 8AM and 12:30PM were filled with me finishing my six page Early Christianity final. Brutal. But, it’s done. Handed in hours ago and then a quick jot through the 10 in class questions which were relatively easy and I’m surprised I knew given the vague amount of attention I gave most of what the teacher said.

So on Saturday I need to be gone from the dorms. I’m not moving into Mike H.’s house until the 17th, so for the next week I’m dormless and homeless. I talked to Tom today and he said I might be able to snag a couch at their place for a week. Kevin’ll be gone in Colorado, anyway. It’s weird that he’s almost gone forever. His wedding is on the 24th (I’m an usher), and then he’s taking off to be the executive assistant of the head of the Navs college ministry in Colorado Springs.

This summer is going to be cool. Matt and I are living in the same place. Tyler A., Tracy, Ray, and a bunch of other people are going to be in Lincoln. Phil, Jenny, and Rachael will be in Omaha. Cora will be out in A-Town. It’s not like the school year where everybody will be within 10 minutes, but it’s still going to be fun and I’m looking forward to being at least within range of the majority of my school friends. And for those who are further away, I can always just use the telephone.

And now it is time for me to log off this beautiful Apple. Oh, how I wish they didn’t cost so much money. It’s all a question of marketing and such. *sigh*

I’ll probably have my ethernet card back in my computer later today so I’ll be functional again. Then back to dialup starting next week. * cries *

In Jenny’s Room
Posted by on May 3rd, 2003, at 10:01am

I’m in Jenny’s room, hanging out. I’d typed a few sentences, then Jenny and I engaged in a battle for the mouse (lasting a mere two seconds) and the window got closed, so now I’m starting over. La la la la la. Uh… Oh, I was saying something about missing out on all the fun. Rachael attacked Matt about something, and I heard other sorts of laughs. Apparently I need to think more before I make comments to women. They don’t want to hear that the only guy interested in them is probably a stalker. (That’s not really what I meant to say…)

Hung out at Crescent Moon yesterday. It moved to a new location. I’m sad ’cause it’s not as open and no couches and a totally different environment. There’s a nice outside area in a courtyard to sit and chill which is ok.

Anna’s surprise birthday party was today. That was fun.

Monday I’ll be mostly done and Wednesday is my Japanese final.

I’m going to meet with Wiggins next semester for discipleship. He’s quitting his current job soon to go back to Atlanta for the summer and get married and stuff. So there’s one job possibility for me.

And now I’m going to get off the laptop. I miss having internet access in my room. It’s kinda good though ’cause I actually get some real work done. Anyway, latez.

Update: Well, I’m done hanging out at Jenny’s and now I’m hanging out in a computer lab. Whee. G’night.
