pfft… The needle entered my finger. I saw the blood sitting on the tip of it being sucked up into a little tube. One of the three they were going to fill. The first one barely got full, and then the lady taking the blood asked for assistance from two other guys who were around to make sure I didn’t pass out.
So much for making money off of plasma sales. I thought I’d give it a try, and I did. Being a pessimist or at least “realistic” gave me a disadvantage in this situation. I’ve never liked needles and I started getting nervous before I even had my blood drawn. Apparently apprehension and nervousness can cause a drop in blood pressure which lead to dizziness and tingling skin. It took me about five minutes to stop feeling like that and the guy said, “I advise we don’t continue.” D’uh.
Tomorrow I’ll call a place back about a job. The store manager still had to look over the application and I need to call back and find out. After that, I’ll hopefully get a second interview and then the job. We’ll find out.
I’m trying to be optimistic.
