I’m looking down at the paper in my hands. It is the application to create a new political party at the university. I need help picking a party name (I’ll put up a poll in a bit to get opinions). I’ve got to write the statement of purpose, a one page letter detailing our party’s intentions, and get a few signatures from other people who are going to partake in elections with me. I’m hoping to make a difference in the elections for student body government next year and if our party’s members get elected to actually get out and do things that will affect the general student populace. (”What”, you ask? I’ll let you know when I post the statement of purpose.) I’ll keep providing updates and perhaps even talk a bit about what I’m learning along the way.
