4PM rolls around, the designated time for students with a “6” as the last number of their social security to register for classes. *click click click* Sorry, too much traffic. busy beep, busy beep, busy beep… *click click click* Sorry, too much traffic. busy beep, busy beep, busy beep… ring, ring, ring… “Finally.” beep… beep… 4093 “Class full.” “ARGH!!!!!!”
So all the classes I wanted and, more importantly, needed to take are full. Currently, I’m signed up to take Classics 307, Early Christianity, and MUMN 276, The Music Experience. Six credits. 12 is minimum for full time. I got super-soakin’ hosed.
*sings*Oh when the week… keeps rollin’ on… oh when the week keeps rollin’ on… oh how I’d love to be done but the week keeps rollin’ on… *stops singing*
Test on Friday. Homework due next couple days. Yucky. Last night I was up late doing homework and talking on the phone. Homework = blah, phone = good stuff.
The sun is still hiding. And now so am I. *poof*
Microsoft is currently developing its newest version of Office software. The strange twist is that it will not be offering compatability with versions of Windows other then Windows 2000 (with Service Pack 3) or Windows XP. My theory: they want to force you to upgrade your operating system software if you have any desire to stay current (thus giving them massive profits). Office 11 is also supposed to dramatically increase compatability with XML formatted documents which will be a major change especially for businesses. One of Microsoft’s stated reasons for not supporting older version of Windows is “inherent insecurity” of the older Windows OSes. The Inquirer stated the following in their article about this:
We don’t seem to remember Microsoft telling us that Windows 98 was “inherently insecure” when we bought it. We don’t even remember the slogan “Start Here – for inherently insecure computing”.
I am first. In line. Gimme! No, I have money. See… hey! givitback. thief! thief! come back here wit my money. I need my chickin.
So the little red light on top of the capitol building is blinking. It’s dark and hazy outside. And I’m also posting after midnight again. (Bad habit, if you ask me.) To(yester)day, I got some CPRA stuff done, bible study, a bit of studying, and a hair cut. Tracy came by after lunch and did some cutting, trimming, evening, blending, and other movement related to scissors. At the end, my hair is much shorter again and looking pretty spiffy. (Thanks, Tracy!)
After CPRA tonight, went to Crescent Moon (yes, the place where my story about Girl at the Moon is based). Misty and Crystal were there so I talked with them a while before doing a bit of studying. Amy was working like usual and Jake also came tonight. It was good talking to Misty and Crystal. It’s been good getting to know each of them better seeing them on most Mondays.
Now I’ve got a paper to finish related to a movie I watched in my International Relations class. *sigh* Back to work! *vanishes*
